Very friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and entertainment was brilliant 👏
This is by far the worst hotel we've ever experienced. At arrival reception staff didn't really give us much info, not very helpful, and our room had so many problems, our room card didn't work properly, so a lot of hassles going back and forth to reception, turns out it was the actual door lock system that needed fixing.
The bedding was very worn out and disgustingly uncomfortable, they even missed out on one duvet, when there's 3 of us but we only had 2 duvet, our air con didn't work properly, and when I asked reception to do something about our bedding, they didn't, I had to ask the cleaner myself the next day, and luckily our cleaner Ahmed was very nice, he went above and beyond for us during our stay.
The hotel is very big, and we spent a whole day walking around actually doing 18k steps just to find out the information ourselves, to then seeing very small noticeboards tucked in different corners of the hotel, when they could have just informed us at reception.
You cannot get a subbed unless you wake up very early to put your towel down to reserve it, I have never experienced something like this in any hotel, this type of mentality is not ok and its a norm for this hotel!
The bar staff seem to all have a "whatever" attitude, when you ask for a drink from their menu they just make up the ingredients as they please, so the same drink we ask for each day will get a different type of drink every time!
The shops inside the hotel didn't have any prices on them, they seem to charge you whatever as they please depending on how much you can pay! This I find totally unacceptable! So we only shopped just outside the hotel, a very good reasonably priced shop to get your snacks and souvenir called Antonella, highly recommended!
The food was a hit and miss, the breakfast we find really awful, lunch and dinner were better, but so many flies inside the restaurant around the food was very off putting!
The entertainment this hotel advertised is very misleading. During our 10 day stay, we did not see any of the cool shows they advertised.
I even tried to have my nails done in their salon, and the lady who was doing my nails actually hurt me, my nail beds were bleeding on 3 different fingers! Her attitude was like it was normal for me to be bleeding! So I told her to stop because it was totally unacceptable!
The only other nice people were a few restaurant staff who were always friendly with us, some pool and beach staff, and our cleaner. They are the few individuals that made our stay bearable.
Otherwise the whole time we all couldn't wait to come back home! And overall we definitely do NOT recommend this place one of the worst experience ever!
The hotel and grounds are stunning, we had a beach front room. The hotel is very large and things are quite far apart, so be prepared to walk. It was a 6 minute walk from our room to the restaurant. The alcoholic drinks were terrible, we couldn’t drink them. The soft drinks were fine. Food was average, but not good for children. I would take your own butter and Nutella for the pancakes! The evening entertainment was not good, it was set apart from anywhere and boiling hot. On the plus side, the pools are good but to get a sunbed we had to get before 6am to put towels down. The staff were not very friendly apart from the sand guy and a couple in the restaurant and our cleaner. The area is ok, some decent shops a few minutes walk away where we got some bargains but got hassled a lot to buy and felt quite intimidated. We went on a safari trip which I would not recommend in the hotter months, it was far too hot and I had a funny turn because of it. It was good and I imagine if you go when it’s cooler it would be much more enjoyable. Went to Hurghada town, it was carnage!! Could not cross the road and got hassled by all the shop workers. The marina is worth a visit. Also did the dolphin swim at dolphin world. I would rate it 5/10, lots of waiting around. Keep your towel cards safe as they will charge you £15 a card if you lose them. All in all an average holiday, I would not return to this hotel and would definitely go in a cooler month.
We had a great stay at jasmine palace resort for 2 weeks. We had a lovely cleaner who was very helpful and kind and made us beautiful towel origami. We met some lovely lifeguards at the pool who made us feel very welcome
