Jasmine Palace was an eventful holiday to say the least. Upon our arrival at the hotel we were aware we had booked two rooms, one for me and my sister and another for our parents, me and my sister are both under 18 so we were under the impression that the two rooms would be next door to eachother or atleast on the same floor but we were quickly informed that the rooms were in fact not even in the same building! They tried to tell us it wasn’t bad because the rooms were really close and told us there was a ‘private pool’ separating us. I’m not sure how skilled that specific receptionist was in english but i’m not sure he knew the meaning of private. Sure enough there WASNT a private pool seperating us just a normal pool. The whole room fiasco got sorted out quickly and we all decided to stay in the one room with the better view and quality. We never got refunded for the other room but the one room is huge. I expected a small pokey room as it was only meant to be two singles but no. Huge accessible shower and THREE balconies. The master bedroom was gigantic and the two rooms had a safe and fridge each . The majority of staff were absolutely delightful and were happy to help. Including the waiter than unfortunately for us had to go home halfway through our trip, ahmed. He was genuinely a pleasure to be around and he knew our drinks order before we even asked him for them the drinks were on the table! After ahmed left the new waiter we got was great too. He was very nice and welcoming and spoke great english. Do you ever get a trip where you don’t want to leave the staff. This would be one. There is only ONE lift in the whole establishment and the rest of the rooms are in seperate ‘blocks’ so if this makes sense you can’t walk from your room to reception and still stay on the second floor you would have to walk down the stairs and i’d you are by the sea or lower down in the resort walk ALL the way up to reception and walk up the stairs but for me that wasn’t a big problem i think it could be a bit more accessible for wheelchair users. There are shops in the hotel and outside the hotel but i would recommend just getting a taxi to anton bazar or the town. The shopkeepers are very eager to get you into their shop and honestly it scares you away. There are many salesmen that come round your sunbeds trying to sell massages and horse rides to you just don’t do it. The food was a huge let down as it was my first time in egypt and i expected more but im a picky eater and don’t like hotel food in general. My advice is to book a boat trip !!! not from the people inside the hotel but from somewhere in hurghada marina. You will get off snorkelling and depending on where you wish to go ( i suggest orange bay) the water will be amazing! Beware of the coral is gashed my dads foot so hard and he could barely walk for days. Finally the beach is man made and doesn’t go deeper than calve depth (i’m 5’8) I personally enjoyed the experience and would recommend you to come here but beware of scammers.
The location is Middle of nowhere you need a taxi to go to the main town where all the reasonable price shops £16 return from this hotel You can order uber but they’re all scammers want you to cancel the job for more cash then uber prices, receptionists are not friendly they need to learn how to smile & be more professional this hotel is supposed to be 5* but in my opinion it’s nowhere near, the fella in pool bar name Faisal AVOID him he only nice to certain people, although big claps to gardeners they kept the garden immaculate condition so tidy they work so hard in that heat hope they get enough pay, also the restaurant waiters are friendly as well apart from one i asked him to get me some drinks he told me to get it myself so that’s not the way you host your guests, rooms itself was fantastic big family room cleaners also deserve a big thumbs up kept our room well cleaned, remember one thing they all looks for tips if you tip them they will look after you, hotel itself is not too bad but some departments staff needs to be trained well, the day we were leaving receptionists was accusing me of not giving them the towel cards back which i did in the envelopes if the guy didn’t put it in the record how is this my fault? We didn’t even use their towels that was very unprofessional they kept us there for way more than 10 minutes as if we have committed some crime, the air condition broke down i had to wait nearly 2 days to get my rooms air condition fixed had to ring the reception 3/4 times they kept on saying 10min but their 10 minutes is never ending so when i went to reception they weren’t happy kept on saying to call them, safe box was dodgy, the big disappointment was the FOOD absolutely —10 no taste at all very bland & boring type of food fly’s are everywhere we were family of 4 we all had bad stomach, there’s 5/6 shops inside & outside the hotel DO NOT go to them shops all scammers, ended up with argument with this very rude shopkeeper inside the hotel second shop on the right, there’s two cash machines inside the hotel u can get Egyptian pounds without any charge if you have Revolut or Monzo EGP 4000 max per transaction, if you want to go to Luxor i suggest get your tickets from GET YOUR GUIDE app convenient, reasonable & easy, pick up & drop off from your hotels or else you can be scammed by locals, if you fancy going to Cairo do it by Flying which we did we went with Egypt air first flight & return early hrs next day means return flight was at 12.30am we took a taxi for all day from 8am to 17.00 pm £47 GBP luckily my taxi driver ALI was very nice & respectful i didn’t mind paying him a few quid extra cause he was nice be wise at the most annoying & uncomfortable area which is Pyramids area they are all scammers just waiting to rob you horse carriage drivers are the biggest scammers they force you tip them so you have no choice. Overall we had some experiences good & the BAD but one thing i can say we won’t be in any hurry to go back there. Happy Holidays 🤞🤞
Very nice and comfortable rooms and delicious food. The pools are excellent and the hotel has a perfect location next to many shops and markets. It's definitely worth it's value and the entertainment team here is very special. The team is very fun and welcoming especially Eslam who has great vibes and makes everyone's stay the best as possible.
Excellent hotel, rooms are very clean and always get cleaned very well. Animation team is fabulous (especially Leoni). Would highly recommend for a family holiday
