Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was delicious with a good variety, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful, and everything was well organized. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I’m looking forward to coming back again!”
Just got back home in the early hours yesterday and honestly missing Jaz Soma Beach already—what an absolute class place! Everything here was spot on. The resort is kept unbelievably clean, the grounds are gorgeous, and the entertainment was great. Massive credit to the cleaners and all the staff who work tirelessly to keep the place looking immaculate. Huge shoutout to the management team who actually walk around the pool every day to check in with families and see if anything needs sorting. Our room fridge stopped working at one point, and literally within minutes, they had someone there to fix it. Mahmoud and Amin by the pool were absolute legends, looking after us all day. At dinner, Mohamed stood out and was brilliant. A massive thanks to him and the rest of the restaurant team—we didn't catch all their names, but we made sure to get a picture with our favorites before we left. The chefs deserve a lot of credit too because the food was always fresh, piping hot, and there was so much to choose from every single day. Honestly, the only mistake we made all holiday was leaving to go out to the marina for a night—we immediately regretted it and wished we’d just stayed at the resort! Huge thanks to everyone. Top-tier place, we’ll definitely be back.
Air con didn’t work in one of the rooms for the full 2 weeks! Visits to reception every day..not good enough! Second week, 1 pool was closed, lots of building work-again no notification given. Poor customer service! TUI said sorry?
We stayed at Jaz Soma Beach for 10 nights in mid-August as a family of four, on an all-inclusive basis, with interconnecting rooms. Check-in was smooth, and the evening reception staff were very friendly. As we didn't arrive until around 10pm, we really appreciated that they had kept the restaurant open with a small selection of dishes available for us. Our rooms were airy, spacious, clean and comfortable, but unfortunately the bathrooms felt quite dated and tired in comparison to the rooms. This was particularly noticeable given how stunning the lobby and communal areas are. There had clearly been a number of repairs and touch-ups over time, and these affected the overall look and feel of the rooms. They were perfectly functional, but the condition and décor didn't quite live up to the rest of the hotel. Mina cleaned our rooms each day to a good standard. The pool and beach were both a good size and easily accessible. We didn't struggle to find loungers, apart from on the afternoon of the pool party. We also liked that there were signs on the umbrellas advising guests not to reserve beds and that belongings could be removed if they didn't return within an hour. However, some of the outdoor areas could have been kept cleaner. On our last day, there were quite a lot of sunflower seed husks and tissues around the pool that hadn't been cleared away, and the areas around the filters looked as though they were rarely swept. The beach towel service was excellent. Our towels were ready when we checked in, and each evening a member of staff would come to the room to collect the old towels and replace them with fresh ones, which was very efficient. The standout feature of our holiday was undoubtedly the staff and service. Everyone worked tirelessly to meet guests' needs and always did so with a smile. A special thank you to Emad at the beach and Youseff around the pool for keeping our drinks topped up. Mohammed, or "Smiler", in the main restaurant was outstanding. He was always smiling, attentive and checking that we had everything we needed. We soon discovered that tables 26 and 27 were in his section, so we made sure to sit there whenever possible! The chefs were also brilliant. Mustafa, Ahmed and Haimet always made sure we were happy with the food choices available. As vegetarians, we particularly appreciated that they were happy to make us something different if needed. The food was delicious, fresh and appealing, with plenty of variety each day across the salads, main dishes, fruit and desserts. This has to be one of our best food experiences at an all-inclusive hotel. The à la carte restaurants were also stunning, with excellent food and service. Although the overall cleanliness of the hotel was generally good, we did experience a few issues that shouldn't really happen at this standard of hotel. The stairs leading to the rooms regularly had clumps of hair and other mess on them. Both bath towels and beach towels occasionally had stains, and on one occasion there was a mark on a newly changed bed sheet that looked like blood, so we asked for it to be replaced again. We fed these issues back to Guest Relations when they came around each day to ask how things were. Overall, we had a really good holiday and there is a lot to love about Jaz Soma Beach. The exceptional staff, fantastic service and excellent food made our stay very enjoyable. However, it was the attention to detail—particularly around cleanliness and the tired condition of the rooms—that resulted in this being a four-star rather than a five-star experience for us. We would consider returning once these areas have been addressed, as the hotel has so much potential and the staff truly made our holiday special.
Third time staying at soma beach. All staff very welcoming, staff recognising us from our previous stay felt very personal. Great atmosphere. Food good. Drinks great. Entertainment good.
