Sunrise Royal Makadi Resort

We had a wonderful vacation at SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort. The hotel is beautiful, the beach is amazing, and the location is perfect. One of the biggest highlights was the food. There was an incredible variety every day, with different dishes constantly being added, so it never felt repetitive. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The hotel also has à la carte restaurants, which is a fantastic feature and gives guests plenty of dining options throughout their stay.

The biggest highlight of our trip was definitely the animation team. A huge thank you to Tereza, Gaser, Keita, Tito, Micheal, Denisa, and Anastasia. They were all incredibly friendly, energetic, and welcoming. They made every activity fun, created a great atmosphere, and really made our holiday unforgettable.

However, there were also a few things that could be improved. The service at the pool bar was often very slow, and we frequently had to wait a long time for our drinks.

Our room felt a little outdated, especially the bathroom. We also experienced several maintenance issues: when we turned on the air conditioning, water occasionally leaked from the ceiling. The shower would randomly switch from cold to hot water or stop running completely.

Another frustrating issue was the room key cards. Throughout almost our entire stay, they constantly stopped working, even though we kept them away from our phones. We had to walk back to reception many times (about a five-minute walk each time) to have them reactivated. Thankfully, near the end of our holiday the lock was replaced, and the cards finally worked properly.

We also had an unpleasant experience at the beach shop, where we received a $10 bill that turned out to be unusable, and we couldn’t exchange or use it anywhere else. So it’s worth checking your change carefully.

Although we really liked having seven restaurants, they were usually very crowded with families and children. The restaurants were often quite noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation, and there was little or no background music, so the atmosphere didn’t feel as cozy as we had hoped.

We were also a bit disappointed with the evening entertainment. We were really looking forward to the events, but they didn’t meet our expectations. The parties felt rather boring, and the music was not to our taste, with a large focus on Arabic songs and not much international variety.

Overall, we still had a great holiday thanks to the beautiful resort, lovely beach, and especially the fantastic animation team. With a few improvements in maintenance, service, and entertainment, this hotel could easily deserve five stars.

Our family had an amazing vacation at SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the entire staff was professional, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable.

His recommendation, leadership, and guidance enabled us to secure a reservation that accommodated our family at very short notice, and we are truly grateful for his assistance.

A special thank you to Mr. Amr Hassan, the Resort Manager, whose exceptional leadership and personal attention made us feel truly valued. We also want to recognize Chef Bahaa, the Head Chef, who went above and beyond with his hospitality and care. Their dedication made our stay especially warm, comfortable, and enjoyable.

The TOP TEAM Entertainment animation team was another highlight of our trip. They were energetic, friendly, and organized a fantastic variety of fun activities and evening shows that both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed. Their enthusiasm and positive energy created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the resort.

The beach is beautiful, clean, and very safe, making it perfect for families. We especially loved the snorkeling spots just off the beach, where we were able to enjoy a variety of colorful fish and coral reefs without needing to go far.

Overall, SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The outstanding hospitality, excellent service, beautiful location, delicious food, and fantastic entertainment made this one of the best family vacations we've had. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable all-inclusive Red Sea getaway, and we look forward to returning again!
