Additional features at this property include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fabulous stay at Meraki Resort!
We had a fabulous time at Meraki Resort — it really has everything you need for a fun-packed holiday. The resort itself is spotless, but what really makes this place special is the staff. They work incredibly hard and genuinely make you feel welcome.
A special shout-out to Diamond and Memo from the entertainment team. They were fantastic, made us feel so welcome and are a real credit to the hotel. I’m sure this won’t be the last we see of them! ❤️
🏗️ Building work
We did have one issue relating to the building work during our stay. A large amount of rubble fell from a great height from the building site, landing directly outside our room door. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but it could have been extremely dangerous had it hit someone.
The hotel offered to move us to another room, which we appreciated, but as we were nearing the end of our holiday, we decided to stay where we were. The rubble was cleared up promptly, and the hotel did respond to the incident by offering us alternative accommodation.
I think this is something the hotel needs to take seriously from a health and safety perspective, particularly with guests walking around the area.
🚤 Excursions
We booked the private speedboat trip to Orange Bay and White Island, which was a lovely day. The only downside was the onboard photographer. I had specifically requested that we didn’t want a photographer, but unfortunately they seemed more interested in taking photos and videos to sell than allowing us to simply enjoy the day. That was disappointing.
Another huge shout-out to Mohamed Ali from Ant Safari, located onsite just below the steps leading out of the main buffet restaurant. We booked the private quad and buggy sunset tour with him and it was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it. If you’re only going to do one excursion, make it this one — it was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday! 🏜️❤️
Things I would improve to make Meraki a 10/10:
There is a lot of techno/EDM music. Although I appreciate this is part of the party atmosphere, a little more variety would appeal to a wider range of guests.
There seemed to be quite a lot of selling of tickets for parties, and personally I’m not a fan of having to pay for a table just to have somewhere to sit.
This is not a criticism of the hotel, but definitely a warning to other guests. I would avoid using the pharmacy attached to the hotel building, on the left as you leave the resort.
I was charged £39.20 for just three items for an upset stomach. The price wasn’t clearly shown on the card machine, and I noticed that the original prices on the products appeared to have been covered with sticker barcodes showing higher prices. When I questioned the charge and asked for a refund, the staff were not particularly helpful, but thankfully the hotel management stepped in and helped me get some money back.
Again, this is not the fault of Meraki, but I wanted to mention it so other guests are aware and check prices carefully before buying anything.

From Diamond and Memo in the animation team to the fantastic bar staff at Floaters Pool, the Lobby Bar and Sports Bar, everyone works incredibly hard and is genuinely friendly and welcoming. They really do make the resort what it is.
Overall, I would highly recommend Meraki Resort. I was actually a little anxious before going because I thought it might be mainly aimed at 20-year-olds, but I really didn’t need to worry. There was a great mix of ages, and we felt completely comfortable.
Despite the few issues we experienced, we had an amazing holiday and would definitely consider coming back. ❤️🌴☀️
Absolutely terrible experience. We arrived with a confirmed eDreams reservation, but the hotel had not kept our booking and offered us no solution or understanding. We were left stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay. Extremely poor service and completely unacceptable treatment. I would never recommend this hotel.
We arrived and welcomed by staff. The room was not good but the hotel and guest relations changed our room next day. The new room was large, clean with a powerful shower. On the down side there is no iron in the room. We were very happy with the change... a couple of days later our room flooded due to faulty valve on sink. This was about 3am. We called reception who immediately sent someone to fix the issue and someone to clear the water from the room.
Overall the complex is clean, tidy. The food is good and varied and the staff are brilliant. Special thanks to Mustafa responsible for our room, Sayed and Ahmed who worked behind the bar. Both so lovely and provided excellent customer service.
The noise from the club on site is very loud of a night. Reception will provide earplugs on request.
The entertainment team wont go near you if you are over forty!!
Although the hotel is aimed at party people it would of been nice to see entertainment aimed at the older residants, perhaps using the pub fiction pub which was closed during our visit.
My friend had a fall and ended up in hospital. The hotel fufilled our requests for rails in bathroom and provided a wheelchair
The customer relation team Keeley, Daley and Irina have bern fantastic.
The team at Maraki do go above and beyond. The hotel should review entertainment for older guests for me to return
On arrival, we were impressed by the appearance of the hotel. We were given a complimentary room upgrade, which, in hindsight, we wish we hadn’t accepted, as we would have preferred to stay in our original room. We were upgraded to the Merakilous Room, which we found very dark and gloomy . Unfortunately, the bathroom also had a constant smell of eggy sewage, which was far from pleasant.
The hotel grounds were much bigger than we expected, and the long stretch of beach was lovely. There were plenty of sunbeds, a bars right on the beach, and a pizza place, which were all great additions. There was also a large selection of cocktails to choose from.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Although there was plenty of choice, the overall quality wasn’t great. Sadly, on my second day, I became ill with very bad diarrhoea. Looking back, I wish I had read other reviews before travelling, as I later discovered that other guests had reported similar experiences.
The music was the same every day, mainly techno type music, which wasn’t really to our taste.
On a positive note, most of the staff were very nice, friendly, and pleasant throughout our stay.
Overall, although the hotel has some lovely features, particularly the beach and the spacious grounds, the room, food, and illness I experienced really affected our holiday. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.
Great resort to stay at. Don’t let the party element put you off staying. The resort is massive and was a great mix of chill areas and party areas. We ended up enjoying the party element and there was a mixture of all ages at the events.
The food was excellent especially in the Chinese and Egyptian restaurants but even the buffet was good and was the best hotel buffet I’ve had. The pizza resteraunt on the far beach was great too.
The staff really helpful and the bar staff great. If sat round the pool close to reception the bar Staff check on you and bring drinks over to you.
The rooms are nothing special but nothing wrong with them either. Cleaner was great and provided bottled of water and cans of pop everyday aswell.
The hotel has their own taxi service and helped us get to the marina and Sheraton road for nights out and we would contact through WhatsApp when ready to come back.
Padel was free to play - football pitch had a ball to have a kick about. Pool and table tennis also free.
Only negative would be the water slides where not on during our stay.
Excellent hotel. Booked through TUI. Would 100% come back.
