El Gouna is known for its outdoor activities and water sports. With unique coral reefs diverse marine life and clear waters it is especially popular for scuba diving. The night life is also good with a variety of choices. El Gouna is about 25 km from Hurghada and is easily accessible from the international airport. It is set along kilometres of beachfront with seawater lagoons islets and unique architecture.

I stayed at Ali Pasha Hotel with my family in September and had an excellent experience. We really enjoyed our time there, and it was a lovely part of our trip to El Gouna. I’d happily recommend it and would love to visit again!

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. The room was spotless . The front desk staff were warm and helpful specially Mariam and Ali, housekeeping where also great,and the breakfast had a nice variety. Location was excellent, with restaurants and cafes and beaches within a few minutes' walk.
I’ve been visiting Ali Pasha since it was a very small boutique hotel, and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing its incredible transformation and massive improvement year after year. Yet, despite all the growth, it has managed to keep the one thing that makes it truly special: the feeling of being at home. The staff doesn’t just make you feel welcomed, they make you feel like part of the family. Their warmth, genuine care, and willingness to make literally anything possible are what make the experience so memorable. A very special thank you to Mariam at the reception. My original plan was to stay for five days, but I decided to extend my stay completely last minute, knowing the hotel was fully booked. Somehow, Mariam made it happen! Her dedication, kindness, and “we’ll find a way” attitude truly made my stay even more special. ❤️ Another huge appreciation goes to Mustafa — a true champion and a real-life example of dedication. He was there for breakfast every single morning, welcoming us with exactly the same energy and smile every time we stepped in. That kind of consistency and genuine hospitality is something you don’t forget. I also had the pleasure of speaking with the Operations Manager, a very sweet lady from Belarus. Her energy, passion, and love for what she does were incredible to see. I’m genuinely confident that she will do wonderful things for Ali Pasha in the coming period. It was lovely to see such passion behind the scenes. And of course, a big thank you to Chef Mohamed from Tandoor Restaurant and Kero for being part of such a wonderful experience. Ali Pasha is more than just a hotel. It’s a cozy, unique place with character, warmth, and people who genuinely care. Watching it grow over the years while keeping that special family feeling has been such a pleasure. If you’re looking for somewhere with personality, genuine hospitality, and an experience that feels personal rather than simply “hotel-like” — Ali Pasha is definitely a must-try. I’d say, the only 1 downside of the stay is the noise taking place from the renovation which started as early as 8am and took place daily till 4 or 5. I know it is out of their control and they have shown full responsibility towards briefing us prior checkin yet it is a thing that should be considered knowing that the guest is coming for a complete peace of mind.
