A visit to the regal Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, gives you a sense of the lavish lives led by former rulers. Day 5
Agra to Ranthambore

Journey to Ranthambore National Park where you will spend the night.

Day 6
Ranthambore

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Return to your hotel for some leisure time before a second safari (by canter) in the afternoon to visit further areas of the park.

Day 7

Enjoy a full day tour visiting the spectacular Amber Fort, the capital of the royal family until 1728. After lunch at a local restaurant, you can See the home of the royal family of Jaipur, The City Palace, and UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. Marvel at the hundreds of tiny windows on the facade of the Hawa Mahal, known to many as the Palace of Winds, where it is said that the women of the royal family could watch the streets below without being seen. Later visit local bazaars and stalls for shopping - try the Jal Mahal Road and Bapu Bazar for jewellery and handicrafts or wander the streets and sample delicious Rajasthani Street food. Known as the 'Lion Rock', it is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the jungle. Continue to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, former capital of the Sinhalese kingdom, chosen as it was advantageously positioned to safeguard against possible attacks from the southeast - as well as supposedly having fewer mosquitoes!
