This was our 4th time in Thailand but first in Bangkok. Couldn't fault the location. Bts, right Outside the door. Customer service was a A+ (to many to name). Would recommend this hotel for a few days before heading off on travels around Thailand.
Since this was a business conference, it was not a personal choice. I had spent a week previous in another hotel in Bangkok with more facilities and double the space for half the price, and found the lack of a chair or desk in the room difficult since I had work to do. On the other hand, the bathroom was enormous, the big bath relaxing, and city views spectacular. They had excellent snacks and drinks in the conference section and helpful staff. I didn't get good access to wifi but had a cheap sim card from the airport so used my own phone for internet. Breakfast was excellent, with Western and Thai choices. Meals were generally good though pricey, so when not provided by the conference we went offsite to cheaper alternatives with more choice, some within walking distance. The Coffee Club out front was good for snacks and drinks. I saw others using the option of food delivery. It was central for train and taxis and the travel desk extremely helpful in advising how to get around, with destinations written in Thai to show taxi drivers and at ticket windows. I enjoyed the L-shaped rooftop pool with closeup views of trains passing by, but opening hours were a bit limited for use, especially if business kept you busy during daylight. Another difficulty was lack of communication, as I tried 3 times (by email and their website contact page) before arrival to get my leaving date changed, as well as at the check-in desk when I arrived, but they charged for that night not stayed anyway and then said they 'couldn't do refunds'. After persistent enquiry, they did give a room credit for laundry, the only option they offered.
Amazing location. Right outside is a Sky trian stop quick is the best way to travel around. The staff make the hotel. I have travelled around the world om business and this team is amazing. Two team members stamd out Tae you will find at reception. He found resturants, a parosol maker as i needed an old outdoors umbrella fabric section replacing quoted £950 at home £50 here.He even put the Grab app on my phone ( local uber). The other member is Noey the roof top resturant manager. Always welcoming she shows you photos on a tablet to help you make your selection talks you through ingredients if unsure of the local ingredients used, friendly takes time to talk with you and is a real delight.
Beautiful spacious clean room. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Large variety of delicious breakfast choices!
We really liked this hotel. The staff are so helpful. Our room was very nice (3004) lovely big bathroom with a shower and bath. Very comfortable big bed and the air conditioning was fine. We initially had an issue with the shower, that they sorted immediately. The room was cleaned daily.
The breakfast was perfectly ok with plenty of choice. We didn’t use the roof top restaurant and bar, far too expensive and hadn’t heard anything particularly positive about it, to warrant the price. We used the coffee shop at the front of the hotel a couple of times. Very nice food and not too expensive. There are plenty of places to eat in the streets behind the hotel, street food at about 60 baht per dish, ranging to high price restaurants.
We used the pool daily, arriving 2pm onwards and we always got a lounger. Wasn’t too hot up there, with some shade. Though shame about the over priced drinks, music and smokers! But other than that, pleasant enough. Always towels available.
Are other niggles were the crazy lights switch in our room, that I’m sure no one including the maintenance man understood. And we would have liked Netflix or similar, became very knowledgeable about current affairs, with lots of news to watch.
The hotel is situated right next to the Sky train so perfect for getting all over the city. Also plenty of things to do within walking distance.
All in all a very nice comfortable hotel with a few minor niggles.
