we had a very nice experience. hotel was relaxing and very well organized. all very clean. our busy suaid was great and helped us to have an even great experience. we went with our kids and they loved it! it is a very safe place and we felt that was very personalized because every worker new who we were and was very helpful! we just can't rate 5 stars because being a 5 stars AI the food didn't meet the rest of the hotels standards. lack of variety and quality. in our opinion it's impossible for a resort like this not to have natural fruit juices! also the variety of fruit was very scarce and the food in the buffet was very limited , specially for occidental people. Ifuru is not a resort for adventure or incredible activities but more as very relaxed place where you can take your family on a nice vacation!
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Ifuru Island and highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a piece of paradise. The customer service was exceptional from the moment we arrived to the moment we left and the food, drink and amenities are all first class. From the moment we departed the plane on Ifuru Island we were greeted by Marey and made welcome to the Island. Marey looked after us for the 10 days with anything we required. The food is excellent in all restaurants as well as the friendly bar tenders in Hubba Hubba poolside bar. The rooms are spacious and clean plus the rooms are quiet with no outside noise coming in except for the calming sound of the waves breaking. We found all staff were very friendly and helpful wherever we went throughout the day. We had a fantastic time every day and thought the location was perfect for a relaxing, quiet holiday watching the sunset every night.
From the moment we were met at Male International Airport to our return departure we were treated with beautiful friendly smiles. On arrival on the pristine island we were assigned a “Buddy” Choatey who is an absolute delight. All reservations were taken care of by him for anywhere we wanted to dine or do on the island. The Chefs & wait/bar staff so obliging & always smiling. The Director & Managers constantly interested in feedback to uphold or improve anything for the guests. The resort in all areas is kept so neat & tidy by a hard working garden staff. The villas are lovely & spacious. We had requested twin beds & this was mistakenly not done but, rectified immediately. The beach & local snorkeling was great, we also took an excursion to see the turtles, although we missed them we did see heaps of fish & coral. 12 nights/13 days of shear comfort & relaxation, thank you to everyone, too many to mention individually but you know who you are! Highly recommend this Island Resort & the direct chartered flight from Melbourne with Luxury Escapes is an additional bonus. Cheryl & Robyn
Ifuru was a wonderful experience arrived on the 25 August 2026 and left on the 6 September 2026. My wife and I spent our 56-wedding anniversary on the island. The accommodation was great and close to the beach as well as the restaurant's. The quality of the food was 5 star and the choices at the buffet was outstanding. The service staff were always friendly and went out of the way to assist you whatever you needed Beach and pool facilities were excellent. Swimming and snorkeling in the sea was great there were plenty of fish to see and in some instances the fish would come to the shoreline and swim with you. Overall great place to escape and enjoy paradise would highly recommend Ifuru. Buddy Ahmend Soaid arranged all our meals and dealings on the Island and we cannot thank him enough for his generous efforts Keep up your good work and look forward to coming back one day Regards John and Tes Fisiak
