For an ultimate holiday experience, the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives is your perfect destination. With a new look and better facilities, we are ready to offer you the wonders of sun, sand and sea in a backdrop of ultimate comfort. Located 145 km from the capital, Male, it takes 45 minutes by seaplane to get to this idyllic 6-acre island paradise. Once you arrive be prepared for memorable times. Surrounded by an azure ocean lagoon replete with the wonders of the underwater world, this is a paradise for diving and snorkelling. Meanwhile, on water sports include windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a mostly wonderful experience, though there were some ups and downs worth sharing.
Service & Check-in.
The arrival experience is lovely—you’re greeted with a cute nature necklace, drumming, and a free water bottle. We had booked a Beach Villa but were upgraded to a Water Sunrise Villa because of our honeymoon. We were also welcomed with a bottle of wine and a basket of apples and oranges. A special thank you to Sandun, who organized a beautiful hilltop dinner for us, and to chef Kasun, who prepared a delicious meal for that dinner.
Location & Marine Life.
The location is stunning. The water is full of beautiful fish and sea creatures—we spent hours snorkeling and watching the wildlife around our water villa, including through the glass floor panel. The sunsets were gorgeous. I doubt we’ll ever snorkel in a better place. A few practical notes: bring sunscreen and water shoes (they cost about $50 USD in the local shop). Also, swimming near the water villa is only really possible at high tide—most of the time the water is only knee-deep.
Food & Drinks.
We weren’t overly impressed with the buffet. There was some variety, and we weren't expecting better for the current price range. The pasta, salad, and fast food stations were a lifesaver on days when the food was boring. We never went hungry.
Mocktails were extremely sweet and not drinkable, as they were made with overly sugary, artificial juices. We’re not fans of alcoholic drinks, so we can’t really comment on those.
Spa.
We had a 2-hour massage from two very nice ladies, Wulan and Dela. It was a great experience.
Excursions.
We did the Manta, Turtle, Shark, and night snorkeling excursions—all were very nice. On board, they provided soap for glasses, drinking water, a toilet, and water to rinse off salty ocean water. We got free fins for the entire stay, brought our own masks and snorkels, and there were life jackets in every room. Thank you to Shanim, Ashraf, and the rest of the Dive & Sail team for organizing and running the snorkeling trips.
Housekeeping.
Housekeeping was very good. Adil cleaned our room every day and always asked if we needed anything—a very sweet guy.
Rooms. We stayed in a water villa and view from it was absolutely stunning—10/10. Just be mindful that it can get rough if the weather turns bad.
We were lucky with little rain, but when it did rain:
The roofing construction acts like a sail when wind blows from the sea, making it very noisy.
Also, we were never informed about the power generators on the main island—they are so loud that they could be heard all day from any living area.
Overall.
Despite a few minor issues, we had a truly memorable honeymoon. The incredible marine life, stunning villa, and the warmth of the staff made our stay special. We would happily recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beautiful Maldives getaway, as long as they come prepared for the few quirks mentioned above.
An incredible resort! The setting and hotel are beautiful, but what makes this resort so special is the wonderful people who work there. Every member of staff is friendly and caring and genuinely wants you to have a great experience. Everybody takes pride in what they do, and they all work together to make a perfect holiday. I wish that I could name everyone including the gardeners and the laundry team and the people working behind the scenes, but it’s impossible to know everyone’s names. We were looked after on the platinum island by Hannan, Charuna and Kelum in the restaurant; their attention and welcoming care was exceptional. The food was varied and delicious! Melaka and Nandana took great care of us in the bar and always made sure we were topped up. In the spa, Putri and Tera gave us a wonderful Balinese massage which was just what we needed soon after we arrived. We also enjoyed a shark safari and dinner on the beech - both were wonderful experience. We went on a dolphin watching boat trip, but sadly the dolphins did not appear for us. This could not be helped - we were in the Indian Ocean and not a zoo! An absolutely fabulous and unforgettable holiday. We will return! Thank you to everyone who is part of the Hakuraa Huraa - you are brilliant!
Very nice experience, from location to accomodation. For each meal, Latheef was there waiting for us prepared to bring everything he knew we usually liked to drink. Latheef was very nice with us every day, very calm and very attentive to us.
Putri, Meisya, Dian and Wulan got us a perfect massage! Wonderful experience
We had a fantastic holiday in the Maldives and overall would happily give our stay 4 out of 5 stars. The location was excellent, with beautiful surroundings and everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The service throughout our stay was also a real highlight — the staff were friendly, attentive and always happy to help, which made a big difference to the overall experience.
We also felt the holiday offered very good value for money, especially considering the location and level of service provided. There were a few minor things that could be tweaked or improved, but nothing that took away from what was a really enjoyable and memorable stay.
With a few small improvements, I think this could easily become a 5-star experience. We would definitely consider returning and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Maldives escape.
