The hotel is centrally located in a quiet part of Bodrum, just about a 10-minute walk to the city's waterfront and the many shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a nice beach about 1.5 km away. Links to the public transport network are only some 200 m away. St Peter's Castle, which is the main landmark of the resort, is about 1 km away and well worth a visit. Milas-Bodrum Airport is around 35 km away. This small air-conditioned apartment hotel offers guests 30 simple but pleasant rooms in a low-rise complex with a garden. The rooms have individually regulated air conditioning/heating ensuring a comfortable stay. The complex has an outdoor swimming pool with children's section and occasional entertainment programmes are provided.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as a seasonal outdoor pool or take in the view from a garden. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, tour/ticket assistance and barbecue grills.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I just stayed one night, but will stay longer next time. The small hotel is perfect, only a coupld of hundred meters away from "Bodrum highlife" city center you have peace and quietness and share the pool with only few other hotel guests. The interior courtyard is beautifully overwhelmed by plants, giving it a special atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet ist huge and filling, plenty of things to snack from, served by very friendly staff. The lady at the reception will help you with any issue you might have. A perfect place for a quiet holiday, exploring Bodrum at night...
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, housekeeping very good, rooms are nice and big. We were faced with a few issues which were dealt with immediately and with a friendly response housekeeping lady is lovely!! BUT If you are given room 101 beware, (we were given this room after our first one was a double not twin beds) this is directly next to reception and used as a "smoking area" and "meeting point" for a chat directly outside your door, the staff smoke like chimneys, (one inpaticular who basically gets paid to sit on the stool placed outside the door all night and sit on her phone playing videos, doesnt speak English. ) I had to move the stool every time I opened the door. (see photo) we couldn't open our window or balcony door as there was someone there outside constantly throughout the day and night. Cigarette smoke came in our room and wasn't very nice at all and no consideration to the guests inside as they don't care how noisy they are. Not sure why they didnt use the ftont of the hotel outside of reception....So if you are wanting a nice quiet space this room is the one to avoid, the rooms everywhere else and on higher level were lovely. We also came just out of season and Love holidays, doesn't specify that the pool is not open in April, just a hole with dirty muck at the bottom of it and neither is there an "indoor freshwater pool available for guests to enjoy". also they DO NOT have a restaurant and bar for dining and refreshments. For breakfast it was a little conservatory style area with drinks and cereal and a tray of cheese/eggs/meats and bread for you to help yourself. Very basic. Location is good, walking distance for everything you need, easy to find your way around. For what I payed for myself and son was not value for money at all for what we got, if I knew there was no outside space to sit and relax in in the sun and no restaurant I wouldn't have booked it.
We were travelling around in Greece and Turkey for a longer period of time with two minor children and this was the most expensive stay we had - unfortunately not worth the money.
We appreciated the very clean room we got and the fast check in…and the poolarea is really cosy - but..
• we are 4 people and got 2 pillows and 1 sheet, so went to the reception at 20 o clock to ask for a pillow and just one more sheet. The receptionist was busy doing her nails and pretended she didn’t understand my husband’s English, but told him she would bring it within 20 minutes. 1 hour later I went and spoke with her in Turkish and she couldn’t help us with another pillow, but gave me a pillowcase. We had been up early travelling and went to bed and didn’t get a pillow for the stay
• the breakfast was never ready at 8 o clock as scheduled, which was a problem with minor and hungry children
• the staff is sadly all very depressed and careless. The male receptionist was the only one who smiled briefly to our daughter, but the rest seems so sad. We avoided trying to contact them after the first attempts of our kindness was rejected. We are normally really good tippers, so that was unfortunate for them.
• we chose this place due to the children pool, but it was very dirty with a small filter
• we asked for options to go to a nearby city to take a ferry to Greece. The female receptionist told us our only option was a VIP transfer for 5500 lira and that none of the taxis would take us there.
We found a taxi ourselves within a normal rate (1500 lira) and the male receptionist mocked me about the price and told me that the agreement we had made with the driver was a scam and that the driver wouldn’t show up.
The next day the driver came and the price we had agreed was even cheaper than agreed
Surprisingly quiet and relaxing retreat that is only a few minutes walk from the Bodrum Strand. Last week was stay number 3 and 4 for my wife and I. This time we had our adult kids stay with us. The hotel is super quiet anytime, day or night. The staff has always been exceptionally courteous and accommodating. The beds and pillows were very clean and comfortable, the rooms had ample space, the bathroom was clean with modern accents and the air conditioning has always worked great for us.The pool is really great as well with a wonderful garden atmosphere with bougainvillea vines and trees. Special note to staff member Under - Captain America will be back!
It was my first time at Moonshine and I can't believe I didn't come here sooner!! It is a beautiful, relaxing, quiet place, full of trees and colorful flowers. My mother-in-law came here for the 4th time now and she can't seem to get bored of this place. But how can you? It has everything you need for a nice holiday. Clean rooms, tasty breakfast every morning, cheerful and helpful staff and it is peaceful at every hour of the day. For 7 days I didn't hear a car horn, I relaxed by the pool both in the morning and at night with no one bothering me. Everyday while we were on the beach, they would clean our room, make our beds, bring bottles of water. I read some of the reviews and I can't believe we stayed at the same hotel! Everyone was helpful, they were at our service at every hour and the rooms looked just like the pictures online (I put here pictures of our room a few hours after we checked in, they don't make justice to the rooms). The hotel is renovated and the appliances worked just fine. We had 2 AC's, a safe box, a mini fridge, an electric kettle and a TV. The pool was being cleaned each day and we became friends with their turtle and cats. Thank you for accommodating us, Moonshine! We can't wait to meet again!
