"My experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bodrum, Turkey was disappointing. During my stay, the air conditioning was not working for the first day, and despite attempts to resolve the issue, it remained unresolved. The room, though expensive, was small and overrated. Maintenance was lacking, and even when the AC was fixed, it didn't work efficiently. The promise of a refund of 60 or 70 pounds was made, but the money and rewards were never returned. Hilton Rewards couldn't assist, suggesting contacting the hotel directly. They didn't do anything and even they didn't give me any points for the Hilton rewards. The prices were overrated, and the hotel lacked access to the beach, a crucial feature. Additionally, the breakfast was very bad, and they didn't change it for five days. The lack of variety and quality in the breakfast choices was disappointing."

This review is written knowing that the Hotel closes on 15th October for about 2 years, due to a rebuild & renovation. However as we enjoyed our stay there, its written to offer our thanks to all the nice people & times we had during our stay. The Hotel is sited right on the front at Bodrum overlooking the Marina and Yacht Club, a good 20/25 minutes walk from the Castle & main shopping area. However plenty of Restaurants/Cafes in between & the walk quite a pleasant experience, especially in the early evening. Not a big building, only 2 floors, with its Restaurant on the top. This is mainly used for Breakfast, although at night the front part overlooking the road & Marina is used as a Sushi Bar called Nama. Good variety of options for breakfast, served Buffet style & mainly cold food, though there was an egg station as you entered the dining area, though not very well signed. There is also a Restaurant on the ground floor called Big Chefs, useful for lunchtime snacks & spilling out to the kerbside for public usage. We never dined in the hotel at night, so unable to comment; there was also a downstairs bar. Initially we were allocated a first floor room overlooking the road & Marina. This room in itself was ok, but being right under the Sushi Bar & opposite the Yacht Club bar & restaurant, was very noisy & we got little sleep on our first night. Thankfully the Reception staff were understanding of our problems & allocated us a poolside room,4102, the next day which was far better & very comfortable, helping us enjoy greatly the rest of our holiday. The Hotel had no grounds other than the oasis of a pool area(see photos), but this was quiet, few children so suited our needs completely. All the staff we met from Reception, Dining,Housekeeping & Maintenance were friendly & helpful, ensuring that our 9 days at Doubletree were comfortable, enjoyable & relaxing. The place had an end of season fell to it, but never detracted from our enjoyment. Thank you one & all; best of luck with your rebuild/refurb

Disappointed to realise this hotel is now closed for refurbishment, as it was a gorgeous hotel already.

The room was spacious and bright, with cold bottled water delivered to your room daily.

The pool area is stunning, a total sun trap, with plenty of loungers to choose from. Our room was on the lower floor so we also had the choice yo sit outside on our terrace. The beautiful cats around the hotel are incredibly friendly!

Breakfast was delicious, a great choice of fruits, cooked items, cereals, breads, yoghurt. Lots to choose from, even for a vegetarian

Location of this hotel is spot on, everything is so accessible!
