Situated at only 70m From the Cliffs of Caldera, this lovely hotel offers its guests one of the most impressive views of the Eagan Sea and the perfect spot for any vacation. At just 2km from Megalochori -the wine tasting centre of the region, and Akrotiri - with its ancient ruins. The architecture of the hotel reflects the typical Cycladic Style, which combined with the soft colours of the sea produces a peaceful and relaxing environment. The bright and spacious accommodations are fully furnished and open to terraces with mesmerizing views. The hotel houses one of the biggest swimming pools on the island, with hydro-massage options and a waterfall. But the highlights are the two restaurants - the View Café , which as the name suggests is the best location to catch the sunset, and the jewel of Santorini, the restaurant built from volcanic stones and known as the Windmill .
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel was disappointing simply due to the false advertisement of pictures on love holiday website of hot tubs and views that weren’t at this hotel. Breakfast was mediocre at best, the standard room had one small storage cupboard which isn’t enough for 2 people, the lights in room would flicker and door lock was a bit dogey for security purposes, bus times outside hotel are not accurately timed and one point we waited 45mins on a bus! Guy at reception wasn’t helpful and the only positive was the outdoor pool and quietness of the hotel, definitely get more for your money at other hotels.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after. An amazing family run resort, you can feel the atmosphere as soon as you check in. It was my husband’s birthday the day after arrival. They noticed this (without prompting) and we got free cocktails to celebrate. It was a bonus we were not expecting. The room was very clean and we had towels changed daily. Breakfast was simple but gets you through the morning. The bus stop is directly outside the hotel- but if you want to hire an ATV or a car or any advice about anything at all , just ask reception. They all know the island very well and are always happy to help. We had an amazing time. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone coming to Santorini.
Lovely place very peaceful staff very friendly when we arrived was given a big bottle of water & was told to get a free drink from the pool bar very nice touch rooms are very basic but it was only for sleeping in so no problem for us breakfast was good bacon & eggs & Greek yogurt & fruit so all good for me if there is one thing they could do is get a toaster that would be great.The swimming pool was fantastic & very accessible from our room overall a nice stay would go again
Fantastic resort. Friendly and welcoming staff, (we believe family run), always greeted with a smile and ready with information and advice if needed. Rooms were basic but had everything you need and were kept exceptionally clean; we had fresh towels every day. We stayed in Room 105, a pool view room, just behind the pool bar, and found it to be quiet, comfortable and in a good position. The bed was really comfy. Pool area is amazing and really relaxing, always plenty of beds to choose from, never too busy; music playing round the pool bar but at just the right level to give a good atmosphere. Pool towels are also provided at the pool bar which is a nice touch. Food is available at the pool bar aswell as the restaurant over the road (which has amazing sunset views). We especially enjoyed the cocktails!! As for location, it is a bit isolated in terms of walking to nearby towns/restaurants/bars, but we hired a car and found that we were excellently positioned to explore the island. Overall we had an amazing week at Caldera View and would recommend 👌 😊
our tour organiser placed our group in this establishment for 3 days in October 2025. All groups complained to the tour organiser that the establishment was well below the expected standards and asked to be shifted to another location for the following reasons
Very friendly staff that tried to move people around when tour organiser failed to respond to requests from the owner of the establishment and guests alike. The owner stated that the establishment is a 3star and would not have taken the booking if he knew that a higher rated establishment was required.
