Pool

We spent 7 nights at Wekata hotel. Booked a 2 bedroom suite which was excellent for our family of 4. Hotel is clean with friendly staff. Main pool is quite small with not enough sitting space, roof pool's water wasn't too nice. We used gym- had to go to the hotel next door. Gym worn out with very old equipment but working fine. 
Hotel bar was brilliant, evening singing entertainment was amazing. Very limited food options at breakfast buffet and we felt rushed after 10:00 am to finish on time (by 10:30). Poor bread choice and average egg station but this is a subjective opinion. 
Great location, walking distance to Kata beach. Shops and laundrette at the doorstep.

My recent stay at Wekata, right here in Karon, Phuket, was a pleasant and convenient experience. Situated in a fantastic location, just a short stroll from the beautiful Karon Beach, Wekata offers easy access to the sand, sea, and the vibrant atmosphere of the area. My room was clean, spacious enough for my needs, and equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a private bathroom. 
The staff at Wekata were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist with directions or recommendations for local activities. There are good breakfast with nice staff Noon,Nid,Fari and 2Ploy very good take care.



Location and reasonable price

Great location as it’s between Kata and Karon beach both within 15-20 mins walk depending how fast you can walk in the heat!  Karon beach is slightly longer and less crowded but no shuttle to take you there while the hotel provides free shuttle 4 times a day starting at 11am, 1, 3 & 5pm. 
The hotel had two pools one on the ground floor and one on the 8th floor with an infinity pool and small bar that has shoot hour every day 4-6pm. Ground floor pool is bigger with bigger bar area that has live person singing county music from 6.30pm till about 10.30pm Monday to Saturday. Free welcome drink on arrival and free bottles of water provided every day when they service the room. Pool towels provided in the room and you can ask for beach towels too at reception. 
Bathroom and slippers are provided in the room and shower gel, shampoo & conditioner and hand wash with a tiny soap if you prefer. Staff always helpful and there is a cost for late check out but they have luggage storage room. You can book excursions at the hotel and airport transfer is 1,500 THB cheaper to book via GetYourGuide. 
Room keeping only replace towels and make the bed. They don’t replace the cotton buds/shower cap/sanitary bag. They should leave the toilet tissue alone and provide more rolls as even if you have not used it up they take it and not leave you with toilet tissue so I had to request toilet tissue to be brought back in the room! So strange?! 
The floor boards are coming apart so it sticks up and potentially health and safety hazards. If you have a room with access to the pool then bring mosquito spray as you will be bitten otherwise. The hotel shares the gym and rooftop yoga area with the next door Grand Kara hotel. Everyday there seems to be activities you can book like yoga, Thai cooking class, fruit carving and cocktail making. Small kids play area. Breakfast held in the Chinese restaurant from 7 to 10.30am plenty to choose from or it’s cheap to eat outside. Kata night market is 4 mins walk and you are surrounded by restaurants, massage parlour and weed shops. It’s much cheaper to haggle here and buy souvenirs around Kata compared to Old Phuket/Phuket town/Patong area. You can get Grab/Bolt to those places as there are no public transportation in Phuket. There is a cooker, microwave and plates/cutlery but nothing to wash them with. Only one USB port so worth bringing an adapter. No full length mirror so can only check yourself in the bathroom. Shower door needs fixing at the bottom as water leaks outside so you need another towel just to soak it up.

Great value and location

Mirror Mirror on the wall..... so there aren't enough mirrors in the rooms. Here's a tip bring one.Just returned from a 8 night stay, superior room. The WeKata Luxury is ideal for a chilled holiday in Phuket. The staff are excellent lovely smiling people who genuinely look like they are enjoying working here.The rooms are unique in that they offer cooking facilities but there are great food choices within walking distance,special shout out to Mr Izzy Cool who makes every evening a pleasure with his ability to play requests in his cool style and gives the evening a cool relaxing vibe

Cool Relaxing Great Vibes at Wekata

Not easy to find Chinese Restaurants in Kata, Karon area, luckily there is at WeKata.
Went for dinner at Hongu - simple but good foods. Well trained staff such as Khun Kie and Khun Pai are friendly and prompt to serve all the time.
Also went to pool bar surprisingly bartender speak English well and recommend great cocktails - Khun Kath.
Really impressed and absolutely will come back again.

Wekata Luxury is a new hotel located in Kata district within 500 meters from Kata beach and 1 km from Karon Beach. 
The Hotel was built in 2021 and has total 95 rooms, each room has its own bathroom, toiletries, aircon, cable TV, WiFi.
There are eight floors in the hotel building 2 swimming pools and a gym. 
Phuket International Airport is 45 km away.
