A Dream Vacation in Seychelles – Mango House 🇸🇨
We spent a full week in the beautiful island of Seychelles, and our stay at Mango House was, honestly and sincerely, more than wonderful. The service was incredibly professional, and the staff were kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile.

Rehab – thank you from the bottom of my heart! You helped us so much and made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

We visited all 3 restaurants at the hotel, and each one was more delicious than the other. The experience was exceptional!

Special thanks to the amazing team at MUSE Restaurant:
Natalie, Michael, Nadia, Josh, and Anna – and many others whose names I can’t remember, but truly, every single one of them was outstanding in hospitality, kindness, and elegant service.

As for the spa – it was absolutely magical!
My mother and I had three massage sessions because it was just that good. The tall lady who did my massage gave me a relaxation experience like no other – pure bliss!

In short:
The hotel, the team, the service, the atmosphere – everything was perfect.
God willing, I will definitely come back, because the way you treated us left a lasting impression on my heart ❤️

An excellent treat

Overall, our stay was average. While the property had its highlights, there were several issues that impacted our experience. The room had a significant insect problem, and we left with numerous bites on our skin, which was uncomfortable and unexpected.

One particularly disappointing incident involved housekeeping keeping a record of minor stains on our pillow and the duty manager, Christina, attempting to charge us €80 without any prior notice. I found this completely unreasonable, especially considering we had spent over €6,500 on our stay. Housekeeping’s role should be to properly clean linens using appropriate products—not to shift blame onto paying guests for normal wear. Thankfully, Christina eventually acknowledged this was excessive and, as a “gesture of goodwill,” agreed to drop the charge. That resolution is the only reason I haven’t given a lower rating.

On a much more positive note, the staff in the restaurant and guest services were exceptional and truly elevated our experience:

⭐ Michael (Waiter) – Absolutely outstanding! His warm, attentive service made our stay extra special.
⭐ Stephanette – So warm, cheerful, and kind! She brought laughter and light to our breakfast each morning—we truly adored her.
⭐ David (Restaurant Manager) – Professional and attentive, he ensured every need was met and even organized a special birthday surprise.
⭐ Chefs Mohammed and his colleague – Both were incredibly thoughtful and checked in with us during breakfast to make sure everything was perfect.
⭐ Yulia (Guest Experience Manager) – A star! Always keeping us informed about events and making sure we were well taken care of.
⭐ Angelique, Thomas, Giliano, and Trevor, Nathalie – Each of them went above and beyond in delivering top-tier customer service throughout our stay.

While the natural beauty of Seychelles is undeniable, I had a deeply troubling experience at immigration that I feel obligated to share—especially for fellow Black travelers.

There seems to be a noticeable bias against Black people, particularly Black Nigerians, when entering the country. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with suspicion, asked invasive and unnecessary questions, and made to feel unwelcome. In contrast, non-Black travelers were waved through immigration without any questioning—not even basic checks. The difference in treatment was blatant and disturbing.

What’s even more frustrating is the irony: Seychelles is a majority-Black nation, yet some of its immigration officers appear to look down on other Black people, especially those from Africa. And while they target us with unnecessary scrutiny, it is often non-Black visitors who exploit the country, using it as a hub for drugs and contraband. These are the individuals who are rarely questioned or challenged.

There are countless similar stories on TikTok and other platforms, which confirms that this isn’t an isolated case. It’s incredibly disappointing and embarrassing that this kind of racial profiling happens at all—let alone in a country that should understand the impact of discrimination.

I do not recommend visiting Seychelles if you are Black, particularly from Africa. I will not be returning.

Mango house/seychelles real review

During our stay, we have experienced nothing but wonderful welcoming from Mango House!
 Upon our arrival  until the day we departed from this exquisite serene place, my husband and I were greeted with pleasant smiles and with special attention! We both loved the fact that the workers were so diligent and were attentive even to the tiniest details. The food at Moutya were refined, although both of us have experienced creole cuisine before but the Chef added an extra touch to it. My husband even commented that the fish tasted like crab which for me showed that the food had been handled with great love and care and the quality of fish was good. The waiter there whose name is Joshua was quite attentive to our needs and handled the area with ease by attending to various people at once which shows efficacity. Another delightful soul we met was Lydia, her tone and her smile made our day during breakfast time..she always know what to say and was able to turn even my slightest mishap into something positive, she has proven to be excellent in what she does as she has the ability to make you feel comfortable. With a nice breakfast and staff, what a splendid way to start your morning! Another person who stood out was Nathalie, she was always quick on her feet and provided us with another marvellous service. My birthday was so memorable with these staff members..as well as other servers who sang and surprised me with a birthday cake! To top up, my room was delicately decorated with a birthday cake made out of towels, decorated with flowers which made my day even more special! Champaign in the morning and even before dinner, watching the sun set, a scrumptious cake, the extra care and courtesy, the committed workers all played a wonderful role to make our stay even more special!
In conclusion, we would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Seychellois or not, you are treated as important as the next one. This is what you call good service!
