I think the best way to sum up this resort is - you get what you pay for. It’s misleading for it to market itself as a 5 star resort. It isn’t. If you’ve been to other 5 star resorts in the area then you’ll realise the price point is much cheaper, and there’s a reason for that. 

Firstly, it’s clean. There’s no doubt that the cleaning staff work hard and are constantly cleaning and tidying. We were upgraded to a family suite when we arrived and it was great. Like an apartment with separate bedrooms and living room. A godsend if you are with children. 

When we were there (end of May) it felt very overcrowded. There’s not many communal/social areas for a hotel of this size. A lobby bar (always a queue) and a pool bar. Arguably, we are still not at the height of the season and every day it was very difficult to get a sun lounger and you’d struggle getting a seat in the buffet at peak times. We were only a group of three and this felt pretty frustrating. Maybe they need to have a server on the entrance who will see if there are any seats and if not, give you a buzzer or tell you to come back later. You end up walking up and down the restaurant, standing and waiting for the people to finish eating before you jump on their table like being in a shopping centre food court. 

In the evening, even just for drinks it was difficult to get a seat anywhere. We ended up standing up with our drinks in the lobby on one occasion. One evening we ended up sitting in the room as there was nowhere else to go. It’s worth the mentioning that we may not have seen it in its finest as the weather was particularly bad for 2 days whilst we were there and people would naturally want to stay inside the hotel. 

Buffet is functional. Nothing spectacular, no luxuries - the food was ok. 

If you want bottled named beer or red bull/spirits you have to pay for it. Again, this isn’t out of the ordinary with lower end all inclusives, but it wasn’t in keeping with its 5 star rating. You’d expect it from a 3 star. Also a bit naughty that you have to pay for popcorn and candy floss when they set up a cart at the kids disco every night 😂

You can use the sister hotel across the road. They didn’t make this clear when we checked in and I wouldn’t have known it if I hadn’t read the reviews on trip advisor. Make use of it, as it has the bulk of the evening entertainment and (I believe) better al a cartes. 

Table service is non existent. Now and again a waiter may will ask you, but it isn’t really a thing. You need to go to the bar and queue. Pool areas are fine - but as mentioned above you’ll need to set your alarm and get out to get a sunbed anywhere. You’ve no chance after 8am. Lots of reserved towels with no one on them which is a little frustrating, but it happens everywhere. 

Cocktails are hit and miss. Some are ok, some are not so good - some bar tenders better than others at making. 

They have a beach area which is separate but there is a beach shuttle every 15 mins which takes you down there. This is great and it’s probably much more frequent than that. It’s definitely worth having a wander down there. 

If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful all inclusive without any frills then you’ll be absolutely fine. Just don’t expect a 5 star - this is definitely not that. It’s very reminiscent of Spanish all inclusives many years ago.

Don’t expect too much and you’ll have a good time

I travel very regularly and several times to the Mediterranean region in Türkiye and I decided to return to the Ramada Resort hotel a few months after my last visit.
I’ve stayed at the Ramada Resort in Lara several times, and I’m always just as satisfied. The hotel consistently offers a warm welcome, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere.
I want to especially thank Cem, the Guest Relations manager, for his kindness, professionalism, and attentive care. Cem is always calm, respectful, and genuinely concerned about the comfort of the guests. He takes the time to find solutions efficiently and kindly, which makes everyone feel at ease. He’s a real asset to the hotel.
The lobby is spacious, clean, and beautifully arranged — it gives a great first impression. There’s also a comfortable bar area where you can relax upon arrival or after a long day.
From the lobby, the Spa & Wellness center is easily accessible, which is very convenient. 
The food is excellent: tasty, varied, and well-prepared every day. The hotel also offers several à la carte restaurants, which is a great way to mix things up during the stay. Honestly, there’s no need to worry about anything — everything is well organized, and the staff makes sure guests can just relax and enjoy.
The hotel is located in Lara, a famous region of Türkiye. Its proximity to the airport, just 15 km away, is an additional advantage.
In short: a solid hotel with great facilities, quality food, and a very attentive team. A special thanks to Cem, who truly represents the spirit of hospitality here. I’ll definitely be back again for sure!

Perfect Holiday!

I want to start by saying how wonderful this hotel is. I cannot fault 99% of it. The staff are friendly, the hotel is beautiful, the room was wonderful. So much going on to keep you busy. Kids clubs, shows, entertainment. We spent everyday at the beach, and its great that we didn't have to come back to the hotel to eat, they have food and drinks available on the beach included in your all inclusive package. 

The only fault I have and the reason I have given it such a low star is due to childrens safety. When I arrived in the room I checked any entrances to the balcony to ensure they were locked. We were placed on the 7th floor and have children age 4, 3 & 1. 

I loved the two doors to the balcony. I checked the kids bedroom to see if they had entry onto it. There wasn't. However on opening the window it was a straight drop to the contrete from 7 floors up. If the windows had sufficient locks on I wouldn't mind, but you could easily just nudge the handle and it would open and reachable for my child.

I went to reception to ask to be moved and they said I would have to wait until the following morning. I went back to the room but I felt so uncomfortable with this that it made me feel sick. I went back to reception again and said I couldn't stay in that room. 

I was moved. But to the first floor as they have no ground floors. This is still very dangerous, but better. It caused me so much anxiety I didn't sleep the first night and it made me feel unwell the whole of the next day. 

In the end I slept in the main room with my 2 girls and my son and his dad stayed in the other room, so that the kids were always supervised. 

What didn't make sense though was that in the corridor there are slim line windows, high enough so that children cannot reach, yet they have the safety locks/wires on so that they can only be opened a couple of inches. 

Why isn't this in the bedrooms? Especially on the family rooms? 

It'd such a shame that this happened because everything else about the holiday and resort is perfect and I would have returned. But it caused me alot of anxiety for the safety of my kids.

Otherwise I would have given it a 5*

Great but one issue

Best holiday food 24/7 free coffee free ice cream.  My favourite part was the pier where you can jump off into sea. Bar in the middle. My partners 60th and they left wine and fruit in the room. Food different every night. Loved the slides into the pool. Brilliant.  Lara beach was beautiful.  Only  one negative the shop harass you all the time it's z bit off putting. We will return yearly to ramada lara from now on. Staff so helpful and efficient.  10 out of 10 from us.

The Ramada Resort by Wyndham Lara was amazing! Very clean and the staff were great.

Food had a variety each day. There were bad reviews about the food and that is people being petty expecting the world. It is another country so have to respect food will be different but they have a large variety of food.

There are always cleaners around and polite. Beds were so comfortable and they have a local shop with everything. Spa was great and there is a local bus every 15 minutes to go the beach.

There are different restaurants to have a meal which the Asian restaurant was lovely.

Only downfall is they have signs to not put your towels on the sun-beds and leave them or they remove them which they do not so you have trying to find a sun-bed early morning which is annoying.

Entertainment was ok, not expecting miracles.

Highly recommend staying and there are lots of shops around the hotel and other places to et food.

Great Experience

Stay at Ramada Resort Lara hotel located within driving distance of Antalya Airport. Amenities include gym, spa and sauna, tennis courts, onsite restaurant, bar, pool and beachfront area. Rooms provide tea and coffee, complimentary wireless internet, safe and LCD TV. Attractions are Perge, Kursunlu Waterfall Nature Park and Mermerli Beach. Sorry, no pets.
