Pool

We have had a wonderful stay. The apartment had everything you need to self cater. The balcony was lovely and with the Sun loungers provided to be honest we didn’t really use the pool area.  It was lovely though and never busy. The view from our balcony was overlooking the bay and harbour, just stunning. Could see the sea from both living room and bedroom.  To have TV access to Netflix and youtube was a nice surprise too.  
The furniture is a little dated but to be expected in 3*, main thing is it is clean. Fantastic hot and powerful showers. Beds are comfortable and decent pillows. Bed linen not changed (9 night stay)?  Maybe that is normal for 3*, not sure. Sister hotel was impressive too but far too noisy and busy, not Adult only up there!
The steps have been good exercise and we enjoyed seeing the local cats appearing and giving them some  Dreamies. 
This was my first time in Puerto Rico, we especially enjoyed the visit to Mogan on the ferry.

Beyond expectations

These apartments are fantastic. We are still staying here now and have another few days left. We will be sorry to go. Our apartment is no. 10, with a supposedly limited sea view. There is nothing limited about it, the views are terrific, you can see all of the harbour and sea, it really is wonderful. The apartments have everything you need, large balcony, sunbeds, full fridge freezer, microwave. Yes, there's a lot of stairs to apartments, but they are manageable and worth it to stay here. Cleaners do a very good job and keep it spotlessly clean. All the staff ,cleaners,maintenance and reception are very friendly and helpful. We have been coming to Gran Canaria for the last 10 years and apart from once have always been on the other side of the valley. This has now changed and JB Servatur will now always be our first choice. Already thinking of when we will be back and not left yet. Really love this place, so relaxing and peaceful. Easy to Walk to the centre and taxis are cheap for getting back.

Great place to stay fantastic views and a really good price . The staff are very friendly and helpful ,the pool area is clean with new sun beds and day beds and no fighting to get one . The accommodation has had some upgrades and have great size balconies with modern furniture.The cleaners are round every other day to change your towels ect . You are a 10min walk uphill to the euro centre for some good bars and restaurants and around a 25 min walk down to the main centre for the biggest selection of bars and restaurants and around 4 euros for a taxi back up .All in all a great hotel in a very good location that’s clean and well looked after . We have had 2 visits this year and will definitely be returning.

A GREAT PLACE IN THE SUN

Still a good 'keep fit' hotel but starting to get expensive, €187 for Saturday night is pricey.
Lot's of rooms getting fitted with 'jacuzzis', in reality they're poorly fitted big baths and aren't worth the extra cost.
The pool bar is closed more than it's open, and the high prices and poor service don't help.
If you get here late, chances are you'll get sent to the sister hotel, Puerto Azul, further up the steep hill as the hotel has a policy of overbooking rooms consistently.
It's a hike up the steep hill with your cases.
Shaves a night off your holiday but to make up for it, they give you 'all inc.' for the stay.
However, arrive after 9pm and you've already missed dinner, reception give you a shoe box with a biscuit bar, 2 apples, 4 dry cakes and two cheap sandwiches.
You'll have to find your basic room in the maze of a hotel, drop your bags and sprint to the bar for a quick half as it closes at 11pm (no pints for 'all inc.' guests!)
Breakfast in a morning is pretty good but akin to a 'chimps tea party' (no 'adults only' here!)
Then you're kicked out at 12pm, back down the hill with your cases, but you can't check in your room you already paid for until 3pm!
You feel like you've missed a day of your holiday.
Rarely any late checkouts either, so you need to pay for an extra night or flop by the pool for hours, not ideal considering the clientele the hotel attracts.
Make sure you've got a roller case, you'll need it.

Bumped to Puerto Azul due to overbooking - watch out!

Just had a lovely week at these apartments. Very spacious with a large balcony containing two sunbeds, table, chairs and umbrella.  Free safe and free air-conditioning. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom had two sinks a bidet and a lovely large shower. The only negative was lots of steps so hard to carry a large suitcase up and down, I had my husband to help me bur anybody on their own would struggle as nobody there to help you. The apartments are high up with beautiful views so therefore a long way down. You can either use the steps to the beach 709 of them or walk the long way down following the road then get taxi back about €4 . They have a sister hotel 4 mins walk up the road and you can go in and use their facilities.  We went for a meal one night, they charge €24 each but that includes all your drinks and as much as you can eat so we'll worth it.

Lovely Apartments with a beautiful view

Servatur JB is located in a privileged location in Puerto Rico, on top of a mountain, in one of the sunniest areas of the valley with incredible sea views. The beach of Puerto Rico is about 20 minutes away by foot or only 5 minutes by car. In the surroundings there are lots of shopping centers, restaurants, activities and different leisure options to enjoy a pleasant vacation. 

*The timetable for the reception is from 8 to 00 hours. Wednesdays and Saturdays until 1 am and Friday until 2 am. If you arrive to the hotel later that time, it is necessary that you go to Servatur Puerto Azul in order to check in.
