Not really much to commend this place other than the staff friendlyness. Food was probably the worst I've experinced. Reguritatied and warmed up. Over priced all inclusive from easyjet holidays even with their so called sale proce. Jet2 £200 cheaper a week, but even that is too much.

Avoid

It’s a good walk to the beach , the food is good quality and tasty . Plenty of both married and soloes so it’s a friendly place. From the reception to the restaurant staff all helpful and friendly .  Want an extra pillow ask the cleaning lady sorted in minutes. Maintain came right away .  Fully recommend this hotel. Rooms spacious and clean . Pool towels good quality you get from the Spar if not receptionist. The 1 Euro fee for a plastic cup for around the pool drinking is refundable so hand it in the reception when u check out. The wine is the same quality as most local drinks provided hotel which is certainly not the best. Towels we heard they are thread bear , yes they are thin but clean and can be changed daily if you wish .  We were told by people single people staying at the hotel don’t go out as due to it being dangerous ? We went every day and saw no sign of this . There are 2bars down the road behind the Hagpad- lloyd sign. And walking past them there is a shop and left before that there is a bar with nightly entertainment all good prices.

Good hotel, the food is with a  good variety of choices . One of the few places we have been where the food is tasty.

Cleaning very poor, rooms scruffy, bedding very worn. Had to ask repeatedly for new towels and toilet rolls. Only had one pillow each was able to get a second by day 2 however it was dirty and appeared well used. The pillow slips
Don’t encompass the pillows so either end of the pillow sticks out and the pillows are filthy. 

Pool area half clean half dirty. The floors were  cleaned once during our 5 day stay. Day two somone had been enjoying the drinks and had spilt a few and threw up a few more which was nice while your sunbathing and that’s dried onto the tiles.

Food mainly left to go cold they do supply 1 microwave if you wish to queue up to use it. (It’s also in need of a deep clean) inside and out the buttons are full
Of food hence I never used it.  hardly surprising when it’s being used none stop. 

Chips are usually hot and sometimes there’s some fresh meat / fish being cooked (all you clothes stink of grease when you leave the canteen). 

No one bothered to make an effort at night time and no rules were forced people were eating their meal with a towel wrapped round them. Shame as we took nice outfits for the night time. 

Staff I cannot fault. They are clearly understaffed and they work their hardest with what little they are given to work with. A small tip goes a very long way here the staff are very very thankful. 

Clientele well half the people were single, night time at the bar was like a dating circle with people swapping and changing tables to find a date. (Quite amusing sometimes and quite cute at others). 

It was a budget holiday so I got what we paid for. Just over a grand for 5 nights all inclusive so no big loss.

Didn’t get tipsy once throughout the holiday the drinks gave you heartburn after one or two. You can buy premium brands but they didn’t have any in stock when we asked. 

Beach a good walk away about 25 minutes mostly downhill however the walk back was pretty impossible so we got a taxi which was only 8 euros.

Overall I would say the hotel is probably a low 3 star definitely not a four star. 

We did meet some lovely people and we all had the general same opinions. 

Wouldn’t reccomend, wouldn’t go again.

I must have come on a bad week with bad guests because it was not relaxing. 
Food isn’t 4 star. Great variety but not hot. 
They don’t change your bed sheets. 
Jesus and Bryan on reception are great. 
Aday is fantastic.

Wouldn’t stay again

Just arrived home from a lovely 5 days at Matas Blancas, and already looking to come back next year! 😍

We booked for 4 nights, Bed and Breakfast through OTB, though very quickly after arriving to the hotel and seeing its location, decided to upgrade to All Inclusive. Not much around at all, and at the top of a fairly steep hill, so this was much more convenient. Very pleasantly surprised at the price of the upgrade, it was absolutely worth it. 

Check in and check out was very quick and easy, the staff behind the desk are so lovely, answered all our questions and were very helpful. 

The room was quite basic but very nice, comfortable enough beds and a lovely balcony overlooking part of the hotel, could just about see the sea in the distance which was lovely. The only one ‘problem’ with the room we found was the mini fridge not being cold at all, the light in it was on so it was all plugged in and working, but it was about the same temperature as the room. Definitely not a huge issue, especially as the bar had cold water and cocktails, but if we had a tea making facility that would’ve been more annoying. 

The restaurant was lovely, different food every night and as a picky eater, I could find something easily every night! I wished a few times there was better labelling on what food each thing is, there was a couple but definitely not for everything, and I felt I was wasting a lot of food from not knowing exactly what it was. Cleanliness absolutely wasn’t an issue, the servers were amazing at clearing plates away and wiping down tables quickly. The snack bar was also good, but supposed to be open until 6:30 and anytime we went past 3pm, there was absolutely nothing left. 

The pool was maybe our favourite. Everyone staying at the hotel, and all the staff are so friendly. You could always find a sun lounger easy, there was plenty spread out. The bigger pool was freezing cold, but the smaller pool closer to the bar was lovely. Aday was amazing, always getting people up and moving, we did a walk to the beach with him and a group on our second day which was great, you can tell he really loves his job. 

Honestly, would come back 100%, it was a great few days break and we look forward to returning! 😍
