Pool

My partner and I had the pleasure of spending a week at this hotel, upon arrival check in was quick and efficient, we were given a thorough run down of times the various amenities open and close, where to get extra towels for the pool area etc.

We were given a room on the 4th floor which offered a fantastic view of the bay and being that high up it was nice and quiet on the balcony, the room was kept spotless by house keeping throughout our stay, all the fixtures and fittings were in good condition, the only thing I would consider a negative was the curtains, they were very thin meaning if like me you are a light sleeper, you are likely to be woken up at sunrise, I would recommend the hotel fits blackout curtains to fix this, in the meantime, bring an eye mask!

Breakfast was a pretty standard hotel buffet, there was always plenty of food for everyone and a good variety of warm and cold foods available, including freshly made omelettes and crepes. 

One area that does need attention is the temperatures of the cooked food, unless the food was just brought out from the kitchen it typically wasn’t kept hot, by the time you get back to your table the food was borderline lukewarm, not ideal but something I’m sure the hotel can fix going forward, we were bed and breakfast only so I can’t comment on the lunch and dinner service.

The pool area was also very clean, I didn’t see any litter throughout our stay, the pool bar music was loud enough that you could hear it but not loud enough that it was annoying, Mariana who worked the pool bar was really friendly, even remembering how I like my frappe! She is a real credit to the hotel.

The only thing I didn’t like about the pool area is that some of the sunbeds, particularly those on the grass, are very close together, you don’t get much personal space and it can feel like you have to climb over people to get out of there, we ended up spending most of our time 
just behind the pool, closer to the building instead as there was far more room.

Overall we had a very relaxing time at the Vrissaki, we will hopefully be staying again soon!

Me and my partner are here now. We absolutely love this hotel. We stayed here last May and had a fabulous time and decided to return. Staff are friendly and pleasant the cleaners do an excellent job cleaning our room (special thanks to Layla) the hotel is spotless throughout. The beach views are amazing, Location is perfect. Food is fresh and plenty of options.  You have everything on your doorstep from restaurants, bars, shops, boat trips. We wouldn’t go anywhere else and can’t wait to return again next year. Thank you to everyone at Vrissaki.

The best place to stay

Just returned from a week away at this hotel. 
Staff on reception were always polite and helpful, as were the cleaners. 
The pools are absolutely freezing and hardly anyone got into it, but the sun beds are very comfortable and there was never a rush for sun beds, they were always available during the day. 
Around the pool there is hardly any music playing, if it is playing then it’s very quiet, which we found boring. 
The beds in the hotel are very comfortable but the pillows are not. 
We were self catering but one afternoon we thought we’d try out the hotels beach restaurant, but were ignored after sitting and waiting for someone to approach us for 10 minutes, we decided to just get up and go somewhere else. 
Overall the hotel was pleasant but we would most likely not return as we walked past other hotels that seemed more entertaining.

Average stay

Lovely hotel and at reasonable price we stayed B&B in a superior sea view room on the 5th floor with fantastic views of pool, beach & sea. The room had everything you need with a huge bed great air con and spotless the cleaners do a fantastic job. the reception and terrace area is modern and airy and always spotlessly clean. we visited the spa and must say one of the best massages i have ever had. This was our first visit to Protaras & hotel will definitely be back and would not stay anywhere else

Fabulous Hotel with great views

This lovely hotel is in Protaras, right on one of the best beaches on the island of Cyprus, right on the Protaras board walk, and just 3-4 minutes walk from the Protaras main strip. This accommodation offers a total of 141 bedrooms and suites. The hotel has 3 bars and 3 restaurants, and its own Health club and beauty centre, with an indoor pool and a Gym. Pets are not allowed at this establishment. Vrissaki Beach Hotel follows environmentally sustainable practices.
