Our first visit to Cyprus and so pleased that we chose the Mimosa Beach Hotel. This hotel is small, modern, quiet and clean. Exactly as we like them. The rooms are a good size with a large closet and the bathrooms are modern with a powerful shower and hot water anytime we needed it. I really don’t understand some of the reviews that claim their rooms were dirty as ours was kept spotlessly clean by 2 lovely cleaning ladies with towels and bedding changed every 3 days. 
The pool area and lawns are clean and well kept and there are plenty of sun loungers to go around. Either around the pool or dotted all over the lawns leading down to the sea. The atmosphere around the pool is one of peace and quiet so if you enjoy loud music and entertainment whilst on your sun bed then this isn't the hotel for you. 
The sun beds on the beach are not owned by the hotel and a fee of €7.50 for 2 beds and a brolly is payable to the council employee who collects through the day.
The pool bar offers a great, reasonably priced snack menu but we did find that drinks were expensive. 
The staff are a credit to this little hotel. Every member of staff, without exception was warm, friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure your holiday is a good one.
The location of this hotel on a beautiful bay with a lovely beach is what made this hotel for me. The views are stunning and the area is peaceful and quiet. Our week here was so good that we have joined the numerous guests who return year after year and have booked to return for 2 weeks in 2026

Idyllic, small, peaceful hotel by the sea.

Stayed from 1st May in room 113 for a family wedding in another hotel as I wanted a smaller family run hotel. Room was spotless bed comfortable and a modern bathroom. Loved the fact I was on the ground floor with a partial sea view. The Mimosa is on the beach front with stunning views and you can easily walk along the sea front into Protaras. All in all I would recommend this hotel and hope to visit again

When we first arrived the grump on the reception booked us in, yes it was early in the morning but we thought what have we done.
Waking up to the sight of the lovely cove that was just a few steps away from the hotel made up to the reception we got.
Food is a bit hit and miss, but you can swap your evening meal for a lunchtime meal from the bar which we did quite often as we did go into the town.
Caught the bus which is at the top of the road and costs about 2 euros. If you want bottles of water etc there is a shop about 15 mins walk away but do it early in the morning or use a shop in the town or it’s a hot walk back to the hotel.
Rooms are ok, had ants one day but it is hot and there were gone as soon as they arrived. Fridge in room for water and whatever you can put in there to keep cool. No kettle, we brought are own but you can hire one from the reception. Beach is just a walk away and a great please to swim out, go diving or snorkelling.
Staff are brilliant and very friendly, the couple who run the hotel are lovely and even take the time to speak to you and had a chat about the history of the hotel and the island. Entertainments not brilliant but we enjoyed what they had on. 
Made a few friends which we never do on holiday and had such a chilled holiday we have booked again for next year.
There are people of different ages that go here, don’t let the reviews put you off, yes it’s out the way but towns just a bus or a taxi away.

Great chilled hotel

We found this hotel so poor and mis-advertised as a 3 star that we complained to Jet2 who we travelled with. 

We booked a room upgrade to have a sea view. The (first floor) room had an incredible view but was not well maintained. There was a serious ant problem and the condition of the room was extremely poor. There was a lot of dirt under the beds, the bed sheets had holes in them, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, some of the sockets were broken and cracked, the room chair had ominous stains on it, the bathroom had mold in the silicone and hairs in the bath, the shower curtain was dirty and the overflow was having out the back of the bath. 

There was no kettle in the room - it had to be rented from reception for a daily charge. When we arrived none were available so went down next day and got one and it was dirty. 

Staff entered the room when we had the ‘do not disturb’ sign up (first time leaving the balcony doors wide open whilst we were out).

The food was awful. There were only three options and a very sad salad on offer. The quality was very poor. We went half board and were surprised that only tap water was available at dinner, not bottled. Drinks expensive but to be expected.

The entertainment finished late (00.30am) and being a small hotel the noise can be heard all over. Mostly annoyed however that lawn mowers were used from 6.45am following this. 

Beach is filthy and not well maintained at all. Lots of rubbish in the sand etc which is a shame because it is a beautiful little cove.

I can not speak on the response of management to dissatisfaction as we left after a couple of nights and went to an Airbnb without raising our complaints with the hotel.

Poor

A great hotel. We had a sea view room which was very clean. Nice views out to sea and hotel gardens. We were half board. Food very good quality. Little beach at the edge of the hotel grounds was lovely with an ice cream van selling gorgeous homemade ice cream visiting a few times a day.. it was an easy walk to the end of the road to the bus stop and only about 10 minutes on the bus into protatas town centre where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We would definitely holiday here again.
